Marvin Jürgens, Dipl.-Jur.
Research Assistant since September 2021
Marvin Jürgens has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of US-American Law since September 2021. Previously, he studied at the University of Bremen with a focus on public commercial law and environmental law and graduated in 2021 with the first state examination. His interests and research focus on public law, in particular environmental and climate law, which is why he works primarily at the Environmental Law Center of the University of Cologne, which is affiliated with the chair. Since October 2024, he has also been working as General Manager of the Environmental Law Center. He is doing his doctorate on climate protection laws in comparative law; his dissertation has been funded by a doctoral scholarship from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom until September 2024.
He is also the contact person for the Junges Forum Umweltrecht (JFU) at the University of Cologne and is happy to meet in person or via Zoom for a coffee if you have any questions about a doctorate in environmental law or the JFU.
